Building Surveying

Our Building Surveying services are comprehensive and expert.
Particular areas of expertise include due diligence reports; disability audit/appraisals; contract administration of 'Decent Homes' schemes; design, management and specification in projects involving existing buildings; certification on PFI schemes; laboratory refurbishment/redesign; and investigation into defective buildings or works.
For over 10 years we have been delivering impeccable workmanship, quality and design to both public and private sector clients - and always within budgetary constraints. Where necessary, we can call on complementary skills both from our colleagues and approved third party contractors. We always look to take a proactive stance and find ways to add more value.
We also work on surveys for condition, whether for pre-acquisition, life cycle appraisal, PFI purposes, maintenance planning, due diligence or strategic review, with reports delivered in whatever format the client requires. We advise on liabilities and costs of compliance, building defects, dilapidations and in disputes involving defective works. We act as party wall surveyors in framework and partnering projects, monitor construction quality on large projects for clients pursuing a design and build route and work on measured surveys, including space planning.

Condition Assessment Surveys

The purpose of the survey is to provide information for a prospective purchaser’s Due Diligence exercise.  Visual observations of the building conditions consisting of civil, environmental, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems are assessed.
Services comprise familiarization with the plans and project description, a walk-through inspection of the buildings and associated facilities, preparation of a report including comments and observations and a photographic record of observations.
